Profile Change.. Looking for Honest Opinions..

Hi Ladies and Gents,
something struck me today.. one of those very Brief moments of Clarity that come along ever so rarely..  i'm going to be updating my profile online.. but wanted some opinions as how this strickes you..
do i come across as Desperate? or Sincere?
most of you know me.. from just chatting with me so much.. what say you?
please feel free to let me know.. how this makes you feel.. how you react to it..
what do you think it says about who I AM?

Is that I am so full of Life and Love.. that it overflows my very being.

If you just take the time to get to know me.. and not Judge me..

If I am being completely honest. . .

It sounds a bit cliche. Especially the line that says "...past the rough to see the diamond?" To me it comes off like forced prose rather than an explaination of who you are, what you are about, and what you are wanting to find.

 

Fuzzy, It is so sweet. As much as I like it, I think that it Is a little long. I tend to not read long profiles. It's your profile. Say it the way you feel represent ts you. On the positive side for its length... It is not just  text. It is almost like a poem and easier to read. You are quite good with words which is evident in your posts. -- Hugs Handsome bear, Tom 

Very good, but I think you might be shorting yourself about what YOU can bring to a relationship. The part about someone to support me emotionally.... might be reworked a titchy bit?

I like it. But then, I am a closet sap.  It tells what you are looking for and what you are like. It would interest me. I know that doesn't help you but I would talk to you after reading that. Ok, maybe not cause I might be intimidated. If my hubby hadn't chased me we wouldn't be together now. He says the same thing about me tho. I swear I never chased him, just said hi every time he came into chat.

It's very Walt Whitman-esque.  Is this going onto your OH profile or your BEAR411 profile?    I don't think it makes you sound desperate at all; it makes you sound like a romantic, which is accurate, right?

I read this as a kind of free verse meditation on the kind of man you're looking for.  I don't think it's sufficient by itself, given that you're addressing people who don't know you yet.  It would be a nice coda to a more nuts-n-bolts prose paragraph introducing yourself in more detail, describing what you would bring to a relationship and the range of qualities you're looking for in a man.

One quick note:

I’m looking to build a life with someone who compliments me.

This means that you're looking for someone who says (on a regular basis):

"You are one hot stud, Fuzzy!"
"No one does it as well as you do, Bear!"

"Fuzzy, is that you?  I thought it was Jack Radcliffe!"

"Fuzzy, if I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?"

  I'm sure phrases like these would come very easily to anyone who knows you!  I know *I'd* be complimenting you every chance I got!

Now, if you said:

I’m looking to build a life with someone who complements me.

That would mean that your partner's qualities complement your own: his ying to your yang (or is that vice-versa?!?), two hearts that beat as one, his Wuzzy to your Fuzzy, and so on...
