EATING STRESS ...A LONG RANT !!!!
O.K. ....BAD DAY AT WORK !!! THOUGHT I WAS OFF...GOT A CALL AT 7:12 THAT I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE TO WORK AT 7AM (I HAD ENTERED THE DATE WRONG IN MY BLACKBERRY). SHOW UP....HAVE A VERY DIFFICULT PATIENT.....ENDED UP DRAGGING HIM TO THE QUIET ROOM I.E. (PADDED ROOM) 3 TIMES ...HE IS 85+ LBS...AND THEN ANOTHER CHILD WHO IS 135LBS (OBESITY IN CHILDREN WITH PSYCHIATRIC PROBLEMS IS HUGE) .....SO ...THAT WAS THE PHYSICAL STRAIN...THEN THE EMOTIONAL STRAIN WAS HUGE !!!!! ....AT ABOUT 3 PM THERE WAS "COOKING GROUP" THE KIDS ALL MADE ICE CREAM SUNDAYS...(DON'T GET ME STARTED ON WHAT THEY MAKE !!!) SOO I SUCKED ONE OF THOSE BABIES DOWN...IN ABOUT 3 MINUTES...THEY ARE MADE IN 1 CUP CONTAINERS...ONE OF THE "NEW" STAFF WATCHED ME DO THIS AND COMMENTED. "ISN'T THAT PAINFUL? YOU ATE THAT SO FAST."
MAN I NEED TO WORK ON THE "FRUSTRATION EATING AT WORK !!! MAKING A THERAPY APPT. TOMORROW !!!

Right out of college I worked for a while in an unsecured home for level 3 conduct disordered boys. Weeks on end my job was to wrap up 'little' Tony from whenever his am fuse blew until all the other boys were downstairs. We did corner duty literally daily for months. Best workout I ever had. Li'l **** had BIG weightlifting felons for brothers. Kid was a miniature greek god. Eventually he came to trust the process enough that he only struggled when he thought the older kids were looking, but in the beginning.....
