For today I am grateful for:

1) Meeting Tom, Brett, and Kim last night at the support meeting. They are all awesome and I hope to see them again. I really enjoyed talking to Brett and hearing about his progress. I hope I do just as well as he has!

2) My boyfriend for going with me last night. He is my biggest supporter and I'm lucky to have him on my side.

3) Not having to eat another raisin. The technique we did last night, was to help us enjoy our food after weight loss. It's important to chew every bite 30 times, and at the same time, we need to enjoy what we are eating. It was interesting and I totally understood..but I HATE raisins!! ..lol We all had to look at the raisin in different ways, feel it, and then chew it very slowly. It was fun...but yucky!

1. My 1st post-op exercise assessment - The trainer did a great job of taking me through the gym and setting up a workout routine for me in addition to the normal testing stuff. We spent 45 minutes on machines. She said I have had a 25% improvement since June. It was a long appointment at 90 minutes but worth it.

2. The weight moving after my fill on Friday finally! I am losing a pound a day!!! I am sure it will slow but I am satisfied and happy.

3. Feeling better and having more energy.

Good morning Everyone,

1.) I'm thankful that my horse was a very good boy last night while I groomed him even though he hasn't been ridden in over a week. I'm so relieved he's not crawling out of his skin.

2.) I'm thankful that my Mom let me out of the concert we were supposed to go to this weekend so I can finish cleaning up my house, etc. in preparation for having surgery NEXT WEDNESDAY!

3.) I have the very best friends in the world. I'm so lucky.

6 days till your big day..wow! Congrats Sweetie!!

I'm doing the same thing with my house. I am going to scrub it from top to bottom, do ALL my laundry, wash all the dishes, and cook a few things for my boys for while I'm in the hospital. I want to come home to a clean fresh house. Otherwise, I'll want to get up and clean... I'm hoping for April for my surgery, so I'm hoping the lilac bushes are blooming then. They smell so pretty, and when I open up my windows in the house, I can smell them...

Spring would be a lovely time to have surgery. Lilacs are my favorite. .Living in Washington, it's going to be rainy and miserable during my recovery, but I'm still going to need to get my butt up and out walking. I need to be walking 2 miles a day by the 6 week post op check up. It's a good goal to work towards. I'm sure I'll be able to hit that by then.

I'm totally nesting..cleaning everything, sanatizing everything. I want it organized and ready to go when I get home. I had my furnace serviced to make sure all was well and that it would crap out during recovery...I think this is probably how expectant mothers feel. I'm not a mom in that sense, but I'm sure it's similar.

My Mom is coming to stay with me and my cousin is flying in from DC to help take care of me as well. We're all very close so it's going to be an 11 day long slumber party.
