Knee Update (cross posted from the maryland board)

Well I just got back from the orthopedist yet again.  This time I had MRI films in hand.  He said that the joint looks ok aside fromt he arthritis.  However, there is a TON of fluid in there. He said normal joints have about 5CCs of fluid in them.  He drew out 30CCs of fluid on my knee and he said that there was still more in there!!!  He then gave me a shot of cortizone.  So right now I'm in some pain but it now feels all loose in there.  Oh and get this, I figured the fluid would be all bloody or whatever.  It was yellow!!  like urine!  So I have to go home now and ice it up for the rest of the day.  He said that the cortizone probably won't kick in for a day or two.  I am determined to get into that gym!!!!

Hey aaron... do you have GOUT??? if so.. that could be a reason for the Yellow Fulid.. its Uric Acid.. and that is basically  WEE WEE.. LOL..

Well the orthopedist originally thought it might be gout or pseudo gout but the liquid was too clear to be gout or an infection.  They are going to analyze the fluid to see what it is.  HUGS!!!
