3 Things for Monday!!
Hey all! I hope you have had a great weekend! I know I did. I did a lot of walking up and down stairs yesterday so I'm paying dearly for it today.
1. I go see my orthopedist today to talk about my MRI films of my knee. I really have a feeling it's going to be knee replacement time.
2. My friend arrived safe and sound and had a great time over the weekend.
3. I have this friday off to take my friend back to the airport. I love working 4 day weeks :)
4. I got to talk to my friend in germany over skype yesterday and it was really good to see him again.
Your turn!

4 THINGS.....
1) I SURVIVED PAINTBALL THIS WEEKEND !! AND IT WAS FUN !!!!!
2) MY BUDDY HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE BACHELOR PARTY
3) IT IS A QUIET DAY AT WORK ...AND I AM SOO TIRED
4) I AM GLAD I HAVE TOMORROW OFF !!!!!
1. I am feeling much better today!! I might live! I have energy! I think I'll get by with Tylenol instead of pain pills.
2. There is an RN in the world who is brave enough (or stupid enough!) to use the phrase "quiet at work"
3. Beautiful, gorgeous fall weather here in paradise (Oh, sorry - drippy, ichy Pacific Northwest - nobody move here!)
okay, let's see, 3 things for monday...
1) diet mt. dew because i NEED the caffeine this morning (uggs, it's gonna be a long one today!)
2) my external blog because i can get things out of my head and in print and can actually organize my thoughts without having to talk to myself and appear to be insane to the rest of the universe
3) the honesty and heartfelt concern shown by so many of you on this and many other oh.com boards. idk where i'd be right now if it weren't for some of the (sometimes tough) love i've gotten through this website

We had a FANTASTIC weekend in Provincetown this weekend. The weather could not have been better: sunny all weekend, low 70s during the day. We have friends who own a house in Ptown and spend their summers here, and it was an opportunity to see them for the first time this year (and see the results of their house renovations from last winter--WOW!)
Even though it was the last weekend of the summer, the town was crowded and every shop was still open for business. We strolled the entire length of the town, back and forth, from the end of Rt 6 to the East End. When I think of how I used to feel just walking a few blocks (in Ptown or anywhere else), between my weight and my bum hip, it was truly thrilling. It was too cool for the beach, but old pale face still managed to get some end of the season color (pink) just from walking up and down Commercial St (especially on my scalp!)
I'm still unpracticed at taking long trips away from home post-RNY; I have to focus on making sure I get in enough fluids and figuring out how to deal with eating out. As it is, this part of it was a little rough: I forgot to bring my food from home, didn't manage to stop at a grocery, and either resorted to protein-bars-at-the-last-minute, or tagging along at a restaurant and choosing something that didn't always agree with me. Ah, well. I just need to plan and practice better!
We ended the weekend with a concert at the local UU Meeting House: the Outer Cape Chorate Chamber Singers, directed by Jon Arterton (who was a member of the a capella group, the Flirtations, if I'm not dating myself.) And after one final dinner with our hosts we were back home in two hours (try THAT in mid-July!)

I love this group!!!
1. I had a good appt. with my anesthesia department and surgeon's nurse this morning. Pre-op done, surgery here I come!
2. I'm so grateful that my trainer who had a horse slip and fall with her, is still with us and still has feeling in her extremities and is progressing everyday!
3. I wake up every morning to the cutest corgi in the whole world who loves to yawn and squeal at the same time in my face to wake me.
