MY FRIEND NEEDS HELP ASAP!

Here's the deal. My friend Sara is lesbian and she  also works at a club as a Drag King. Tonight she is actually getting a call from Obama. He wants to know how to reach the Gay Community in Ohio. Sara is FREAKING out. She doesn't know what to say.. any suggestions I can give her??? Thank you!

I would probably start by telling him to be truthful when it comes to GLBT issues.  Say what he really feels instead of what we wanna hear.  We've had people in the past tell us exactly what we wanted to hear and not do a damn thing once they were elected.

I would also probably want to see some sort of plan of action from him regarding GLBT issues like hate crimes, gay marriage, job discrimination etc.....

At least it would show the people of Ohio that he's really thinking about us.

Considering the amount of Charity events we run.....How about showing us his support by supporting a universal "Cause".......The more Neutral the "meeting ground"  the more telling his "SUPPORT" will be.......Right now I think it would be in the communities best interest to be somewhat low key. Those crazy republics
 ESPECIALLY THAT VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANIDATE MRS. PALIN........

THEY WOULD LOVE TO "USE" HIS SUPPORT AS A WEAPON !! 

WE NEED THE "MODERATES" TO LOVE HIM.......

As for Sarah Palin..just put it this way. I'm an animal rights advocate, and I think she is a sick individual. But this is not the place for my rantings..

Just a word of advice ~ ya gotta have thick skin to play over there!!!

One thing I have realized lately is..I never get into discussions about my sexuality, my religion, or my political views. I can be a hot head, and I sometimes  say things that I regret later..so it may be in my best interests, and others if I don't go there...especially with my feelings on Sarah Palin!

Oh, for the most part, that forum has a very liberal slant, socially and politically.  There are a few conservatives and I even like some of them.  There are a few that could fall off the face of the earth and not be missed though, LOL.  It's entertainment, mostly.  Kinda like a train wreak.

I may pop in and "lurk", and maybe only post on positive threads. If there are any..lol
