Tuesday RANT!!!
I spoke to my Nut a couple of weeks ago.. and she made it Clear to Me that i needed to stay within the 800 to 1000 Calorie Range Per Day.. OK.. i got PIssed at this.. But i started watching everything like a Good Little boy.. and i realized i was doing some things that i could easily Cut out IE my Latte Habbit.. OK. so i cut those out.. and i've been averaging about 1000 to 1100 Calories a day since then.. OK.. NOW.. i ALso realized that when i work out ( Yea..i know i'm a Late Bloomer on this one) That i burnt up to 400 calories for one work out.. HOLY SH$%^##%
I had NO CLUE.. i could add that much more food back to my day just by working out..
SO i've started to work out every day.. and watching my Caloric intake..
my NET callories After my work outs.. have ranged between 600 Calories.. and 800 Calories.. per day.. now this is BELOW where she told me i needed to stay..
SO i missed my appointment with her yesterday but she calls for a brief update in the afternoon..
and just happens to mention that i'm doing a Great Job.. and that i'm putting my exercise in.. and it looks wonderfu... (*And here's where i'm pi$$ed!!)
BUT......
" You need to decrease your Calories just a Little Bit More"
SERIOUSLY???!!! WTF?????
What the Hell does she want me to do.. Stop Eating all together?
I Mean Come the F)(*$#$&* ON!!!
What am i Supposed to eat?? Is this Just her Job to always Gode on a Negative??
i understand her job is to be supportive but this borderlines on absolutly INSANE!
I am So Frigging PISSED right now...that its NOT Funny..
I know we All go through stuff like this.. but this is almost Comical in a way..
I am a firm believer.. that if you have not GONE THROUGH our Surgery.. you should not be allowed to be a Supportive Nutritionist for Our Surgery.. Empathy.. i fear.. is NOT enough in this case..

I'm my own NUT -- I eat what I know my stomach will tolerate and workout. Those NUTS are NUTTY and that's why they are called NUTS for short. Work out your own eating plan that works for you. Eat what your stomach allows you to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm not going to rant and rave abou****er because I don't drink enough of it myself. I drink about 16 ounces an hour or so before I workout and of course water during the workout. Thing is -- where do you put the food after the workout if you're going to eat. One trainer told me you should eat within an hour after working out because your muscles need fuel. I learned late last week that you should eat breakfast within your first hour of being up in the morning because it starts your metabolism -- no NUT ever told me that.
So I say -- save your money on the NUT -- develop your own plan and I'll bet it works just as well if not better. Every body is different and I think they forget they.
Keep up the good work and never mind the NUT!
O.K.....I do not know where this nutritionist got her degree...but she is F..cked !!! I work with eating disordered children on one of the 3 medically based psychiatric units in the North East. What she is asking you to do it not only unhealthy but UNSAFE....Many of the patients who have anorexia I take care of attempt to eat between 300-600 calories a day !!!!!! That is considered starvation !!!! This person is asking you to compromise your health... TO LOSE WEIGHT.....????? Man, I work every day with a nutritionist....I know that 1000 calories is the very least a man should take in a day !!! AND THAT IS THE LOWEST FOR ANY EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME !!!!! Please find an outside source for nutritional information......and if this nutritionist works for your surgeon...I would let him or her know what she is telling you !!!!!!! I CANNOT STAND INCOMPETENT HEALTH CARE WORKERS !!! IT GIVES US ALL A BAD NAME........

Now I only listen to my doc and the nurses since they pretty much agree on everything. The NUT was in her own universe and I don't want to ever visit it again.
