One year for me!

I'm tardy, but my one year mark was passed last week on 9/4.

I kept putting off the post because I felt like I should say something profound about it, but I'm not sure that I have. Instead, I'll just go with a before and after pic:

Here's a before that was pretty close to my high weight:


And the night before surgery, when I was down 23 pounds from high weight:


And now the afters (although I don't really feel like an after - I think I'm still in progress!)

These pictures are actually closer to 11 months, but I'm within 6 or 7 pounds of this weight now:




That last photo is part of this amazing photo shoot that I did while at Michigan Womyn's Music Festival with a wonderful photographer that I know. She took a ton of photos of me that week, and it's really helped me to start to get a grip on what I look like. I'm still having trouble with it, though.

Wow, what an amazing transformation - you were beautiful before, but now all I can say is wow, wow, WOW!!!!  The picture from the Michigan Women's Music Festival is stunning.  I've never been to the festival, but it's on my list of things I must do soon - I understand it's quite an amazing experience...
