Just got back from a week in the woods with 200+ GLBT campers. I thought I was going up there for some R&R and lots of activities. It was without a doubt one of the most life altering experiences of my life.
It was empowering, it was enlightening and what a fun fun time- I laughed until I almost broke a rib.
It was not all easy, when you double up weight issues, body image issues with gayness also- But I did things I had never done. Took Yoga classes/Hikes/Attempted to climb the Wall- Maybe next year.
I would be happy to talk to anyone who is ever thinking about it
I can not wait until next year; I have already signed up

Lots of Folks from Texas there too.
Food- Welllllllllllll- not as good as i should have been- Had small meals- they were very good- Salads every day- and I limited the carbs as much as possible,
BUT - They had me going from Sun up to Sun down and a lot of activities- SWEATED A BUNCH
Lost 8 pounds---go figure.
Was damn damn Great!

Are there lesbians there? Could one over 60 handle the camping? How rugged is it? Is it always in August?
