but  i'm a bit Pieved at mine.. she's telling me that at 6 months out.. that my calories per day in order to continue loosing weight should only be 800 calories.. OK.. my NORMAL calorie intake per day for the last month or so has been 1200 or 1300.. now that being said.. i havent lost much weight.. well Any .. going up and down.. so it may be true for me.. but how many others out there know or what does your nut say your calorie intake should be in order to continue loosing weight?  and how much to Maintain..?
i'm interested to see who says what..  i'd like to hear from the Guys too..

I haven't heard of anyone whose NUT says less than 1200 calories in the 10 months I've been on this board. In fact, people have been told to eat more if they are eating less than 1200. Be sure to eat your protein first and drink lots of water. That is the most important for RNY and band the two I know the most about.

800 calories will put your body into starvation mode and fromt hat point onward you'll gain weight because your body is going to hold onto everything you eat.  1200 calories should be sufficient.

And your right....my Nut is a nut too!  She's just loopy

Hey young man...

I always get interested when people ask this question....

the answers are all over the  place...

I don;t think 1000 or 1100 would be bad...what kind of exercise are you doing...and I guess ...where are those cals coming from...

I know there was a perios where I was doing about 900 and doing ove an hour of cardio a day...it was good loosing...but rough on the body, that is for sure....

Make sure you get the protein in first...'

Some people believe that a calorie is a calorie. I personally don't as I lost all of 165lbs doing low-carb and calorie counting combined. Weigh****chers and calorie counting alone didn't work well for me. I bet if you cut out bad carbs, (leave in vegetables and 3-4 ozs of cheese a day) AND kept your calories at 1200 you'd be back to losing within the week.
Why not give it a try? The carbs you'd be cutting out (sugary snacks, rice, potatoes, bread, etc) aren't great for you anyway...
Best of luck!
