Got our License Today

My partner Michael and I finally went to the courthouse and got our marriage license in preparation for our elopement. Since we exchanged vows more than 20 years ago, we regard this as a formality, but it's turning out to mean a lot to us. We plan to elope next week, haven't decided what day yet. Marriage. Finally.

Thank you for the congrats. I'm looking forward to getting this done. What I can't adjust to is calling my partner my husband. We both think we'll stick to "partner" out of habit.
