UH OH...
My partner just called with the news that she was laid off.
(Since I am covered under her health insurance, I'm not sure how this will effect my plans to have WLS after the Holidays.)
Two weeks ago we were asked to vacate our apt. of ten years by our landlord who wants the place for his elderly mother. Provincetown has a notorious shortage of year-round affordable housing. We have until 9/30, 12/1 the latest.
The person who managed my store for the past 5 years has decided to pursue another job this summer -- and informed me just last month!
I am attempting to navigate through my busy retail season with a herniated disc which makes it difficult to stand for more than 5 - 10 minutes at a time or to walk more than 1/2 block.
All this to say I am now gladly accepting any prayers, good vibes, positive thoughts, etc. that you might remember to send my way. I will try to remember to breathe...
Joanne,
UGH! So sorry to hear about all of this coming down on you at once. Not to sound like a cliche (isn't that a cliche too?)...but I guess WHEN IT RAINS...
I'm sure you're aware, but perhaps there's a possibility that your wife can utilize COBRA...even though it's super ridiculous expensive. This I think extends her current coverage (with the same carrier ? )...so hopefully your hopes to have surg. can still be a reality. Or maybe she can negotiate an extension of her current coverage as part of her severance pkg (if this is an option for her).
Good luck! Things WILL get better
Jen
GOOD LORD!
thats to much for one person to bare! I really hope that things smooth out for you.. and start to turn around.. I'm a firm believer that Everything happens for a reason.. you may not see it right now.. but maybe a better manager is around the corner for you, and a better job for your partner.. I'll keep you in my prayers..
Huggz..
