Well, i haven't posted here in a while but I have lurked. Well although i have lost a good amount of weight, I still have a long long way to go but i wanted to share with you today's workout because it's kind of a wow moment for me because I've never been able to do this before. i had a shot of synvisc injected into my right knee to stave off a lot of pain from degenerative arthritis and this was my first workout since the first shot (I have to get two more shots). I did two set of 30 minutes on the treadmill today for a total of 2.64 miles!!!!! i was really shocked! I'm also training to run/walk my first 5K race in october. for someone who is still 379 pounds this is awesome!!!!!

Aaron, Your accomplishments are inspiring! At 279 pounds, walking that distance with the knee issues, must have made you feel like a million bucks! Congrats, and best of luck to you on your 5K in October. Just think of how far you will have gotten by the time it comes around. You'll have dropped more #'s by then, and you'll just breeze right through! Like this: (Not that I'm saying you're a horse, by the way.)

Aaron, that is GREAT news. My birthday is in October and I've been toying with the idea of doing a 5K walk. About the thunder thighs? Get a pair of compression shorts. They really help hold things together. Walmart has them for $9.99 or you can get the Underarmor ones.

Hi Rich! you know someone else mentioned compression shorts in the maryland forum and I ended up two pairs of compression pants to hold in my calves as well (and to thwart the venous stasis) and they should be coming in this week! I can't wait to try them out! Aaron

Did you order them from UnderArmour? I read some where to buy compression shorts and shirts 1 size smaller than your current size.

I don't think they are underarmour. I can't remember what brand they are. However I did get them on the skinny side so I could have maximum compression (provided I can get them on LOL)
