It seems when you are losing weight that it throws a lot of hormones loose in your body that were previously in the fat. Reading entries on the other boards here, this seems like a normal episode in the process. It is exasperating though, I realize. It will get better. For self-calming, I like "triangle breathing" which is breathing in to the count of three, holding your breath to the count of three and exhaling to the count of three. This will slow you down and as you count the whirling in your head will also calm down. Good luck Connie

Hey Rod - you know how it is almost impossible to understand how the opposite sex feels.... well, congradulations - you are now understanding what most women go through once a month! Horrible isn't it!!! Now you understand why the lady in the grocery explodes at the fact that you have 21 items when she is standing behind you in the "20 of less" check out.... or why your co-worker looks like she is going to cry when you tell her the Xerox machine is out of toner.... I could go on and on!!! Connie is right - it has to do with the weight loss. A guy friend of mine said it went away about 8months after his RNY but I am sure everyone is different. Just take a deep breath - think happy and positive thoughts and hopefully it will get better! Or better yet..... do some form of exercise. Besides the fact your body will feel better - so will your mind! Take care! Valerie

Hey Rod, I've been going through the same thing.. but only occationally.. from what i've read from others posting about this.. it could be due to low blood sugar.. try eating a piece of fruit with a meal.. See if that helps.. you cant have real sugar.. but fructose should be fine.. i noticed that when it happens to me..i want to pound someones face in.. if i eat.. especially a piece of fruit.. the feeling subsides.. shortly.. so maybe that will help.. dont know.. Good Luck..

I sent you a PM. This could be low blood sugar. It was for me. I eat fruit with every meal and rage attacks are gone.
