San Francisco Pride
I just wanted to see if anyone planned on going to San Francisco Pride this weekend?? It should be amazing with the new equality laws here in California. My two best friends, my partner, and I are all getting a hotel room in San Francisco (Even though we live 25 minutes away!! But why leave the party?) and I would love to meet anyone that is going to be in the area. And if it is your first time I would love to show you around!

Hey Heather! Just wanted to tell you to have fun in SF! That should be a blast! We are having our Pride this weekend in Houston and it should be a lot of fun. There are events all day and the parade is done at night (cooler - it is so hot here!) Everyone has a bunch of flashing, disco lights on their floats and everything/one is lit up. LOL! We are expecting anywhere from 250,000+ people again this year! For Houston, such a conservative city, it is impressive. Most everyone is there for the same reason, to celebrate diversity and have fun. I can only imagine how much fun all the Pride events in CA will be this year with the new law in effect!

Pride was fantastic this year!! The positive energy was overwhelming compared to Pride's past. I was fortunate enough to get to meet Heather and her friends. If anyone else was there that I didn't get a chance to meet, please come up and say hi if you see Cheer SF performing at future events!!
It was also fantastic to see so many kids there this year, I plan on taking my daughter next year.
