So, i had my surgery on Thursday. The surgeon said that when he got a camera in there and started looking around that he thought there were 3 hernias, but when he actually opened me up it was just one huge one that was a hell of a lot bigger than he thought. I was only supposed to be there overnight, but afterwards he said that i would be there for at least 3-4 days. I was not a happy girl. I had a roomie at first and then they moved her out and i had the room to myself. but yesterday afternoon they came and moved me cause they needed the room for 2 guys and tried to put me with this crazy-ass old lady who had kept me up the night before screaming and throwing things...so i asked to be released right then...there was no way that i was going to be in that room, and so they called my doc and he agreed provided i take it easy. So they took me off the pain pump and off i went. my biggest OH NO moment came when i realized that i gained 20 damn pounds from all the fluids that they were pumping into me! i feel like a damn camel... i've went from 163 to 180 in 4 days!!! bit i am down to 175 today after getting off the fluids, so i feel a little better... anyhoo, i'm home and pleasantly doped to the gills and will spend the next week or so being pampered like a princess

Congratulations on escaping from the hospital. Sorry you had such a rough time. The drugs are good though, eh?
