I figured, given the holiday, this was the obvious question: Who are you remembering this Memorial Day? I am thinking about my Uncle Bobby who was killed in Vietnam. I have a memorial for him at virtualwall.org...http://www.virtualwall.org/dl/LoughRM01a.htm

My dad, who gave 31 years of his life (21 active and 10 reserve) to the Army, and my mom, who was an Army Wife. She came to this country under the War Bride Act, not knowing any English and learned it from comic books. Sometimes I think we forget the families of our soldiers give just as much as the soldiers themselves. BTW, yes, that makes me an Army Brat, and proud of it.

Yes, I think we do sometimes forget the loved ones of our troops. They do give just as much.

SO Cool April. LMAO Shirley learned English from comic books? How funny but cool. Where was she from? I was thinking of my Grandpa. He served during WWII and just died in '99. Yeah I know didn't die during the war but I was still thinking about him today. I got engaged 4 years ago this weekend (and yes the 4th anniversary is next month) and he never got to meet the Hubby.
