What is your favorite thing to do on vacation?
Our usual standby is P-Town. We love it there and try to make it up there every couple of years.
We just recently went on an Olivia cruise and are definitely hooked. We can't afford to do them every year, but we already know that we will definitely do another.

Depends on where I am vacationing. We love the beach a lot. We walk and talk and "connect" for hours. Then usually hit the local gar bar/club, meet new people have some drinks and go home and "connect" again . I am sort of out of the whole site seeing thing after being in so many countries, but I do enjoy new culture. I am in a phase where I like my vacations chill and mellow. Do what I want when I want and not have to stick to any type of schedule. And lots of wine helps too because I am a wino and a lush
My favorite thing to do is sit and watch water move, read and have my binocs close by in case I hear an interesting bird. And favorite place for that is Door County, WI. For those of you not in the upper midwest, you might check out this place. It is a fabulous vacation spot.
Next favorite things is to travel to far away places and see new things and always sunsets or sun rises. Do you all remember the song by Lucie Blue about "waking me up to see the sun rise"? It's a major part of our history!
Of course I love Olivia cruises: number 14 coming up in July.

Well, my dream vacation is th 21-day Olivia cruise to Alaska. Don't ever seem to have the money for that. Maybe when I graduate from nursing school. Sigh.
The best vacation we have been on has to be when we went to Disney in Florida. We went with our best friends, their two kids and teen-age niece and nephew. There were a total of 9 of us and it was a blast.
Haven't had a real vacation in a while. I'm hoping we can get up to Dallas this summer and do Six Flags and a Texas Rangers baseball game (Janet is a huge fan).

Make sure you are signed up with Olivia on their website. They often have two for ones if the ship isn't filled. The cruise is actually one week but there is often a pre and post possibility. We did the post to Denali which was four days. It was great. We did the Alaska cruise itself three times and would go back again in a minute! It was our total favorite!

Guess I'd have to say water. Whether it be a pool , jacuzzi, beach or so on. Best time was VA Beach with a friend. It was a several years ago and just fabulous! VA Beach has a big music fest over Labor Day wknd. & there are a lot of cheap or even free concerts. Our final night there, she grilleded steaks on our patio grill overlooking the ocean and we had dinner to the sounds of KC & the Sunshine Band within feet of us. Hottie Man Husband and I really wanna go sometime.
I love to just chill and decide when I get there what sounds fun. The hubby is all about planning. I have to plan out trip next month down to the minute almost. We went to Niagara and decided which sight seeing thing to go on then. The best part of that was just sitting in our room looking at the falls. My fav trip was Mexico. That was the ultimate in chill and veg. The hubby was always wanting to do something tho.

Hmmmm; this question makes me realize that we haven't gone on a real vacation for a while!
We have friends who own a house in P-town, and we usually visit with them once or twice a season. I have to admit that I've always waxed hot and cold about P-town: half the time I feel lost between the visiting strait folks and the armies of mussle boyz and Amizons marauding in packs up and down Commercial Street; other times, I find the place relaxing and refreshing.
