I'm dating myself here! They are: Umbrellas of Cherbourg Flashdance Bird Cage Dances with Wolves Paragraph 175 (about gays in Nazi Germany) Children of a Lesser God Desert Hearts Connie

I love Bird Cage and Dessert Hearts. Hmm...forgot about Personal Best. That was the first lesbian movie I ever saw.

> Umbrellas of Cherbourg Oh, yes, yes, yes! I thought this movie was going to be an exercise in kitsch, and it turned out to be sober and bittersweet. What happens in a fairy tale when its protagonists find themselves grown up? "The Young Girls of Rochefort" is the goofy twin of "Umbrellas". It's also directed by Jacques Demy and like "Umbrellas", it's also through-sung. Catherine Deneuve and her sister star, along with Gene Kelly (!!!) It's not a favorite of mine, but it's interesting, especially if you liked the first film. /Steve
