What has been the best reaction from someone since WLS. I saw a friend I had not seen in a couple of years. He was a good friend of mine in college. He walked right past me...and i had to say "What you won't say hi to me anymore" He almost fell over and said I look just like I did in College minus the hair !!!
One of the male partners at work stopped in his tracks, backed up, and said "Rachelle...you've lost a lot of weight, haven't you? You look great!"
Just yesterday, I was passing someone's office and she just blurted out "OMG..you are just melting away!"
I work at a large accounting firm, so people there are usually very conservative.

When you and Russ showed up at my house and YOU PICKED ME UP. Jiminy Crickets, YOU WHAT? PICKED ME UP? HUH? I'M SMALL ENOUGH FOR SOMEONE TO LIFT WITHOUT A PERMANENT HERNIA OR A BLOWN DISC? WOWWWWW!

Last year I was in Cabo San Lucas. They have water taxi's there. You have to stand in the water, and sorta climb on board. But my water taxi driver picked me up (picture a new bride over the threshold) and scooped me right into the taxi.
During the ride, I kept telling my g/f that I just couldn't believe he picked me up like that. She said, "Well, honey, you're a tiny little thing now".

What has been the best reaction from someone since WLS?
We were dropping our daughter off at school one morning. I walked Emily to class while Janet stayed in the car. Well, when I got back to the car, she told me she was watching me in the rear view mirror the whole time and that I was definitely the "Hot Mom." That has been the best compliment, so far.
And since I'm nearly 4 years post-op, the WOW moments are few and far between any more. The other day, my mom told me that she can't look at me enough. She says she's still shocked everytime she sees me. Made me cry a little.
