17 Weeks
I started all this at 387 with a BMI of over 60. I am currently 256 with a BMI of 41.3. I am 6 pounds away from my next mini-goal and 10 pounds away from a milestone! That is 100 pounds down since surgery! I am now wearing 22/24 jeans and I have a pair of 18/20 sweats! I started this in over a 36 jeans. I flew this weekend and I didn't need an extender. That was exciting. This weekend as I was putting on the 22/24 jeans I kept thinking to myself these will NEVER fit and I am amazed when they do. It's a great feeling. I am wearing a 2x and can fit into a 1x and I started this in a 5x. I bought some more shirts size 1x and L and I felt funny doing that since I can't remember the last time I wore those sizes. This has been an amazing ride and I am still enjoying it. I am also planning on going to 6 flags sometime this summer since I am about 90% sure I will be able to fit in the rides now.
Hi Kathy,
Your success so far is truly amazing and so very wonderful!
I can relate to the amusement park rides. I remember going to Disneyland for Gay Night about 10 years ago. God help me, the damn bar that comes down to keep you from falling out of the ride, would not click down. Cuss WORD, Cuss WORD, Cuss WORD!!! I had to get off the ride! *&$%ing so embarrassing! The plane thing too. Wait until you can be sitting in the seat, and actually use that little tray that is suppose to fold down on your lap. That was amazing!!!
As far as the clothes... I remember how strange it was when I tried on a size 10 pants at Express. And they were too big. I didn't try on the size 8 pants, because it was just too freaky for me to grasp! So, I bought the size 10. I wore them once. They were just too big. I then went back and bought the size 8. They fit perfectly. I wear them all the time. I have since bought several more in size 8. But, it was an adjustment. Really. It's like my head just couldn't/wouldn't get it!!! I so know what you're feeling.
