distressed....
hi all. I know I don't post often here but I'm reaching out. I'm a little scare (YES, I called the dr they're gonna see me 1st thing in the mornin)
I have been coasting along for the last yr minding my own business and staying healthy. Friday, I came home from work an just plopped on the couch. I woke up later in the evening fevered and chilled. I didn't think much of it - just figured I had a bug or something. Sat/Sun I was ok except I couldn't get my pants on so I weighed myself and my weight hasn't changed. OK so I'm bloated I think to myself.
This afternoon I came home from work to find blood on my underwear @ the Navel. I was septic back in 9/2006 when my intestines twisted from adhesions. It's an almost identical episode from 2006.
OK I'm curious, am I a freak of nature (oh yeah, wait, I am) or can these things happen over and over again?

Thank you all for caring and posting a response. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner but I've been back and forth to Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston, FL (130 miles each way) since Weds afternoon.
Doc doesn't have a friggin clue why my navel is oozing and th blood. I contacted him after seeing my family dr who wanted me to go see a surgeon - incidently Dr Liebermann who is a local surgeon who does Lap and RNY here in naples. Dear ol' Dr Lieberman refused to see me and suggested I go to my original surgeron. Mind you at this point we're not sure what's going on, I'm just dealing with this arrogant, self centered physician who is afraid of his own friggin shadow (sorry I'm on a soap box I know - climbing down now).
My family dr indicated that I had another bout of celulitis but he was more concerned with the swealing in my belly. SOooooo I contacted Dr Rosethenal's office and they asked me to go over. I went after work on Weds and had the pleasure of staying in the ER until 4:00 am. 1 xray, 1 ctsan (with mind you a nasty ass tasting contrast)
They gave me 2 bags of antibotics infused via the iv. (sounds like a cooking show no??)
I stayed home from work thursday since I didn't sleep much and I am sore. I contacted Dr Rosenthal's office wanting to know the result and to complain because his office had indicated that the on call Dr would personally meet me @ th ER. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN AND I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!!! I could have gone to my local ER for xrays and ctscan - thank you very much! I spoke with the dr who wanted to see me personally so This morning I headed back to the East coast and @ 9:00 met with Dr Rosenthal, who was bluntly honest - He doesn't know what's going on.
He ordered an upper and lower gi and and endoscopy. NOW I Wait.
He did put me on nexium and an oral antibotic.
I look like I'm about 2-3 month prego.....
Now I guess we get to wait......
OH well.
Thanks again guys for listening! Sweet Dreams!
