Hi All, I posted new pics measurements on my profile. 74 lbs down, 54 more to go!! My doc says I'm doing better than a lot of her RNY folks. I'm starting to get a little lazy about going to the gym. Any suggestions?

You're looking great!! I have NO Suggestions or Motivation to give to stop being Lazy about going to the gym, because I myself am in the same situation but I don't have to leave the house. I have a treadmill, a Palates machine, and a generic Bow Flex right here at home you would think I could walk 20 feet to the exercise room right??? WRONG I keep saying I have too much homework, or I will fit it in later, and well later just never seems to come... So I hope someone has some Ideas that will help me out as well.

As far as the gym goes....think of it as selfish time...this is what you do for you....and look at your before pics for inspiration.... Just need to lose 54#....wow ain't that a change....AIN"T LIFE GRAND Russ

LOOKING GOOD! I know what you mean about that working out. We have a fitness center (free) at work and I had started using it a bit after I get off work; however, not crazy about their bicycles and eliptical machine so I decided I'd workout at the fitness center at home (free) and I do much better developing cardio and we have free weights as well as the weight machine. It's great! I get off work at 4:30 and get in the gym by 5 PM before others get home -- I live 7.5 minutes away from work. The trick is to get home and immediately change cloths and go back out because if I sit down and start doing something else -- forget about it! We have about the same amount of poundage to go -- so let's get to it. Nice charts you have developed.

Yep, happened to me Thanksgiving week -- sick the whole week followed by some weird headaches that I'm still having. Took me 2 months to get back in the gym. Surgeon said the working out would also help my headaches -- yeah right! I'm still getting the headaches.

Great job, John! Glad things are going well for you. I wish I had suggestions for getting motivated to work out more, but I'm struggling myself. I was motivated last Monday, but that fall on the ice Tuesday evening kind of zapped my motivation! Trying again today.
