TO KEEP IN TOUCH

I can't seem to catch my breath lately, much less keep current on here with all my WLS friends! I'm at 118 ugly fat lbs G O N E !!!! Thank you Jesus for giving me energy to work hard at keeping them off.I have a good family, but right now I thank God for Sister Susan. She's been the rock of encouragement (other than Cheryl) in my weight loss. Everytime she asks about my progress, even if it's only a few ounces, she never fails to boost me! Since I've joined poshpoints.com , I have more candle orders than I can fill. It's fun trading my candles for others stuff. Everyone stay safe and go to the church of your choice this weekend.

Why are you telling us to go to church?

Sometimes when I'm slumming on the OH Main and RNY boards, I feel like I've wandered into a group of proselytizing, testifying Evangelical Xians, or barring that, a Mike Huckabee rally (but without Chuck Norris providing the eye candy). It's really creepy. Living in the People's Republic of Massachusetts as I do, I'm continually surprised that so many WLS people are Holy Rollers. I agree. Why are you telling us to go to church? If you wan't to boast about your weight loss that's fine, but please don't come here if you just want to get everyone religious.

Also, this isn't a place for your financial interests. Advertising for poshpoints is not cool.

Cherry is not pushing HER religion. She is hoping we will find the joy that she finds in God. She is very religious. She has found her strength and comfort in her faith. You will meet many in our community who are religious. Many that I have met were in a very difficult place and were able to dig out of them through religion. I truely feel that Cherry is trying to share her joy....You will see that in her posts. Her stregnth is in the Lord. That is not a bad thing !!!

I understand where one might find strength in religion and that is fine, wherever you get strength from is a good thing. However, when a post is almost entirely religious, and then gives the command to go to church, that IS being pushy.
