New to this site.

Hey folks just wanted to say hi, looking for friends and people to chat with. As of last sunday 12/02/07 went to another info class. I have decided to use this surgeon Dr. Robin Blackstone. I have started my 6month weight loss with my Dr. I have an apt set up for Jan 21st to see if i am crazy( LOL....) NOw i need to figure out which way to go with my surgery.. Welcome-- glad you found the board. I'm fairly new too. I had my 1st surgical consultation on November 19th and go back on January 21st to discuss next steps. The surgeon wanted me to work on weight loss between now and then, so I have been dieting and really examining my relationship with food. It's been a little emotional, but empowering to feel like I'm taking control of my future. In the mean time I am reading, sampling proteins, beginning all the tests and visits...starting this long journey. Hopefully, we'll both have more to report after 1/21!! Thanks board for giving me a sense of community!!!

Hi. I'm new here as well, but it seems okay here. Congrats on making your decision, I'm sure it wasn't easy. I'm 6 months post op and apparently I've lost over 100 pounds so far. So if you have any questions or just wanna chat feel free to do so. I believe everyone here is open and at the very least can relate to you weight-wise.

Hi Scott, welcome to this board. I hate to tell you that you are crazy but then most of us are (at least I am) and we (I) passed the psych eval. This is a really supportive place. I love it, but then again, I am a hag.
