HAVE YOU DONE YOUR HOLIDAY SHOPPING YET !!

Yea I admit it I am a last minute shopper. I AM going to start this week....honest HOW ARE ALL YOU DOING ?

I'm basically done, but I cheated because we had a family reunion in November so most of the people I give gifts to were there and I thought giving them in person was more fun. For the folks here, I'm pretty much an internet shopper--I hate malls--and so I've done the ordering. My partner and I are going to Chicago for a play and overnight at a lovely hotel (it's only an hour or so away) so gifts for each other are a done deal this year. We decided we still have plenty of clothes to shrink in to, so let's do something different this year.

NO! I'm freaking cuz I have no idea what to get Lisa. I was thinking a gift cert. for a massage --but thats so blah and impersonal. I've gotten some little stuff for her (cute hat and mittens) , but feel like I need to kick it up a notch...we did just get a wii system last weekend (now I'm totally ADDICTED to Super Mario Bros. Galaxy--I'm so lame, I know). She really wanted that--done--and since its for both of us, its not really a gift. She likes camping (but we never go), she likes wine, she likes music, she is not much of a shopper, I don't know--just having a really hard time this year--racking my brains! Jen, How about wine, wine glasses and a romantic CD of music she'd like? Maybe some special cheese or olives to go with the wine--or dark chocolate. I asked for two pieces of dark chocolate this year--no big box to tempt me.

Jen, How about a double sleeping bag and a weekend in a getaway cabin! You and Lisa are such a cute couple! Oh, to be young again! Paula and I both LOVE camping, but a couple of years ago had to give up the tent and sleeping on the ground for cabins in Cumberland Falls! Much easier on our fat old bodies! Maureen

You're so sweet! Young? I wish! I'm gonna be 35 in a few weeks and Lisa is gonna be 43! I guess we're not "over the hill" yet--but we're no spring chickens (although I believe age is all in the mind!)...you guys look great and happy! We used to camp every once in a great while-- we have all the camping crap--enough to make us look experienced--although I'm far from it! "Brave Butch" Lisa makes me get out in the middle of the night and do all the scary stuff-you know--check out the weird noises (hello can you say BEARS!!) and get the tent covers (I call them Bras?) out in the middle of the rain and lightening storms--but SHE's the camper! LOL! Anyway, Yeah, personally I prefer a hotel room and room service anyday-- fat or not!! Jen

Sean, Paula and I went to the mall after my H&P today. What a mistake! The crowd of shoppers did not bother us, and it was lighter than we thought it would be. It was the kiosk venders!!! It was hard to walk around without their stepping right in front of you as you walk with their high pressure sales pitches! We did not last long in the mall, and decided we would finish another day. Yes, procrastination is our middle name! Maureen

I was only a week post op on black friday so my wonderful wife got up at 3 a.m. to brave the craziness. She got everything for our 22 month old son at toys r us that morning! And finished everyone else, she is an angel!!!! She is the only thing I need for christmas

Kinda/sorta here. Still have a few things to pick up. I really hate shopping and this time of year is the worst.
