Need help in deciding

I have been reseaching all my options for lap-band. My insurance will NOT pay and the cheapest in USA is $15,000. I am looking at Mexico. Does anyone have anything that can help me decide? I have gained 100 lbs. in a 5 year BAD relationship and need to start my life over in a safe way. That is why I want to know about Mexico. thanks for all replies!!

If you have not posted on the Lap Band board or main board i would encourage to do that. Also you may want to ask around about options here in the States. many people have had to self pay for the surgery...(which is rediculous) We will all support you....but I want you to take advantages of the other OH resources if you have not already. What insurance do you have.....Interested....so I can call in a bomb threat.:..or go to there home office and sit on the bean counters that do not allow the surgery.....good luck ...Sean

Check with the WLS programs in your area to see if they have suggestions for dealing with your insurance company. We were encouraged to appeal and appeal and appeal and maybe even get a lawyer. It's worth a few phone calls.
