WHAT IS YOUR PASSION IN LIFE ???
VSG on 04/06/12
My passion in life is working with developmentally challenged children. I especially love working with autistic individuals. My second passion is CARS. I am a certified car nut !!! My random knowledge of cars is huge...I am buying a new one next week..
If anyone needs info about the care of developmentally challenged individuals I am more than happy to answer questions
Any car questions..what to buy...what that funny noise could be....What size engines were available in a 1981 Chevy Malibu...I will try to answer
KNOWLEGE AND PASSION TOGETHER ARE EXCEPTIONALLY POWERFUL. THEY ARE THE POSITIVE DRIVING FORCES IN ALL OF OUR LIVES....LETS USE THESE FORCES TO SUPPORT OTHER ON THIS BOARD
I want to say..people's passions lead them to being wonderful resources and mentors......O.K. that is todays first rambling......Sean
Sad, but.. I don't have any.. I used to love to write and draw but not anymore..
Car question for you then! Do you know what could take off the unsightly "stripes" on an older car? You know, the thin random lines of color a lot of older (re: 80s, early 90s) cars have? I have them on my car and I hate them, they make my otherwise nice looking car look old. I've just been scratching bits off with my nails but there's too much.

Yes try using a hair drier on high heat.....They will come off when you heat them.......There might be glue left but that can be taken off by hous hold cleaners......You do not want to scratch them off because it will leave funky scratches....Let me know how it goes.....If you are having a problem...Let me know.....Oh ya you have to get them good and hot so hair drier close and tale your time...Sean
I have 2 too! My daughter and learning...
My daughter inspires everything that is best, and worst, in me. She has made me grow so much as a person, beyond my wildest dreams, and I love her more feircely than I ever thought was possible. She also inspires me to heights of insanity and frustration and lows of fear and anxiety that I could never have imagined either. Talk about passion!
And learning - I love reading, I love school, I love documentaries, I love learning new software applications at work, I love trivia, I love debating, I love plain old good conversation. I love anything that teaches something I didn't know before - it makes me feel invigorated and smart and able to tackle the world. I guess that's why I chose anthropology - it's an awesome way to keep learning about the world and all the amazing people in it, what they do, how, and why. FASCINATING!
(p.s. I started out as a psychology major for the same reason, but decided I could never work in the field. I could never do what you do, Sean, because I get too attached - I want to understand, help, fix everything. I admire anyone who can work in the field, do some good, and then come home to their own life!)
My passion is still learning. I am a counselor and a faculty member in a medical school and my job requires ongoing learning which I love. I'm old enough to retire but I'm still having fun learning and growing in both jobs. My other passion is traveling with my partner, especially on Olivia cruises, but generally anywhere. Sean, I like the way you challenge us to think! Connie
I have *always* wanted to take an Olivia cruise! But of course, I would never let myself really consider going, because it would involve shorts, swimsuits, warm weather, etc., etc.
It's nice to hear you've gone and enjoyed yourself. Maybe after surgery, if I'm feeling a little more physically able, I'll give it another look...
You know Olivia also goes to Alaska and Canada and even when we went to the Caribbean I wore slacks the whole time. I am going again in January and wil be wearing slacks again. The other thing is there are women on the cruises of ALL sizes wearing shorts or bathing suits and no one cares. When I went to Hawaii I wasn't physically able to do everything others did, but I still had plenty of fun. We've been on enough cruises to know that the food will be manageable even two months after lapband. Connie
I have a passion to nurture. I enjoy seeing individuals grow beyond their own expectations. There is nothing like hearing a person say, Wow i cannot belief i just did all of that and seeing that look of confidence on their face for a job well done.
My second passion is music and live concerts. OHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I love almost every type of music there is with the exception of honky- tonk, bluegrass, and heavy metal. Everything else is up for grasps. I do believe that music is an universally accepted medium for communication. When you cannot speak the words, there is always a song that can display what you are feeling.
