OT:Why can men be as dumb as a box of rocks?

Ok I figured I would ask this here since it has the most men and I know I can get an honest response. The hubby and I are going home next Sat. for Thanksgiving. My step-father is having surgery the week after. I found a one-way ticket back to CT from OH for under $100. The stupid moronic man that I love dearly said I can stay. What is his problem? This is my family and I am ALWAYS kissing his family's butt. I always have to beg to go home if it isn't a "planned" trip.

I am having some trouble getting the story.....you are going to your families home for Thanks giving.....do you then want to go back to OH then back to Conn.....or our you having Thanks giving at yyour house and then want to go to Conn. ? Anyway....could you clarify things.......I promise not to throw any of my rock......there are already so few...I like to have a good reason to throw them......although it sounds like your husbands rocks could be stuck....in concrete..thinking.........

I don't understand what you have written at all--sounded to me like you wanted to stay with your family from after Thanksgiving until your stepdad's surgery--and your hubby said you could? Then what's the problem?

Sorry to be confusing. We are going to Ohio for Thanksgiving and I want to stay there an extra week for the surgery. I meant to say he said I can't stay, not that I can stay. We are driving out and I would just be flying back to Conn. He keeps telling me that I need to pay my family for letting me stay there. My family keeps saying I don't. Hope this clears it up.

Sounds like he has a crappy family that expects too much of guests, tell him real familys dont make you pay to stay with them... and book your flight home.
