Question - How Fatigued were you after RNY?
I didn't have an RNY, but I have had 5 different surgeries and am a nurse practitioner, so I feel qualified to answer your question.
If you are having problems with fatigue, that is your body telling you to do less and rest more! You should only gradually build up to your previous activity level, and in the meantime--rest when you feel tired. Try to get more sleep as well.
Other things that can contribute to fatigue include dehydration (make sure you are getting in at least 64 oz of fluid daily, and preferably 80-100 oz), and insufficient protein or calories. I don't really know how much protein you RNY'ers need, but I am sure someone here does. I know we DS'ers need 80-100 grams a day, but then we malabsorb more.

Hey Doug...
I know your house is getting ready to have a big change....
I had soem serious fatigue....the best way that I can describe it is, you are a Mac Truck, that is all of a a sudden trying to run on rubbing alcohol...
things seems to balance out, after you drop some weight,,,,but yo have to respect the body and give it the rest, and nutrition that it needs....
but even with the best respect, I was still fatigued
Bests
