My surgery date is set!!! WHOOT!!!

OK Boys and Girls its Finally SET!!! Feb 4th is my lap Band Surgery date! I just got it this monring after bugging my Bariatric coordinator after 2 weeks.. Of course now i'm told i have to take a complete 2 weeks of vacation which i cant afford to do.. How many Lap Banders are out there and how long did it take you to get back to work? do you know if this 2 weeks is to get you acclimated to the new way to eat? well in this case Drink... cause i think i have to do liquids for the first two to three weeks.. but how dificult is it to do liquids at work for god sake.. Anyway.. just thought i'd keep every one updated of whats going on.. Huggz Fuzzywuzzy!!!!

David, Congratulations on having your date. It will be here before you know it. I am not a bander, but I can't imagine it taking 2 weeks. I had RNY and took just one week off. It all depends on you. Tommy

Hi David, Congratulations! I took a week off, which was more than enough time. I even managed to work 2 half days from home on Monday and Tuesday (had my surgery on Friday). John

I took off 2 weeks and could have gone back in 1...I was at my friends wedding 4 days post surgery.....no problem....very little pain...much easier than I expected

My band date is Nov 16 (Friday) and I'm planning on going back on Wed.
