How'd you meet?

I seem to be one of the only single kids on here (which isn't a complaint per se ) I'd like to know, how'd you meet your SO? Boring or not, inquiring minds to know (plus your idea of boring isn't the same as the next person's!)

I had recently ended a 2 1/2 year relationship and discovered the internet. I answered a personal on AOL. Well, this woman turned out to be a real nut case, but she kept wanting me and another friend of hers to meet. She said, "I know you two will just LOVE each other." Turned out the friend lived very close to my mother so when I was up here for mother's surgery, I called her and we met for dinner. Sharon and I have been together ever since. I moved up here about a year later. When the first woman found out that we were together, she was quite upset. Sharon told her, "Well you said we would love each other." And she said, "I didn't mean like that!"

I'm one of the few single folks here, too! I do have a date this Sunday though (match.com). woo-hoo!! John

Jerry and I under the first light on the window side of the Monster on Friday night of Gay Pride Weekend in NYC, 18 years ago. I was dating someone for about 2 months and it was NOT going well at all. I went out to have a drink and think about how to back out of the situation. I was in the bar for about an hour and I saw Jerry on the other side of the room, however my head was into my issue. I was walking towards the front door and Jerry thought I was leaving - I wasn't. He came up to me an introduced himself to me and we started talking. We talked and talked and talked. I played a little hard to get however I knew right then and there that he was mine ( He said the same thing by the way) - Come closer said the spider to the fly. I dumped the old date two days later and began dating Jerry. We moved in together about a year and a half after we met. When I met him he had a 32 waist and was built like a brick. Then I began cook and feed him things like hot peach cobbler and ice cream in bed. Now Jerry comes from a good old southern family so he no problem with my culinary delights. We have had loads of fun together to include fine restaurants and fancy dining and the result - BA-DA BING - BA-DA BOOM we are both candidates for WLS and doing on the same day (10/31/07) Time to seriously close this chapter and start a new one entitled Healthy living and loving The Gay Way! I am so thankful that I have him to do it with. Doug

Scott and I met thru Bear 411. It was 7 months ago today that we had our first date. We met for coffee at Barnes & Noble. When I saw him drive into the parking lot I knew that he was for me. I still have'nt told him about my plans to have WLS at the end of winter, I did mention it to him in the beginning and he had some negative comments so I never brought it up again. I will tell him very soon though. He is into big guys, so I don't know how he is gonna take it.

LOL Rich we have that in common. The hubby is into big women and he's complaining about the surgery too. Oh well, I am hoping Dr. A can get me in at the end of next month. I guess I will answer the question. The hubby and I met in an MSN chatroom for BBW.
