ARRGG I AM STILL SICK !!!!

I am still sick !!!! I had an asthma attack that lead to a broncho spasm....I was on my way to the bank and had to drive directly to my doctor.....I am now stuck in bed....Where I feel I have been living....Thank God I am down another 3 lbs with out being able to go to the gym....Well I am frustrated figured I could vent here

wow, how long ago was that? my daughter has asthma but thankfully hasn't ever had a bronchio spasm or anything. she's usually fine after a puff or two of her xopenex and maybe a drink of water. sometimes it'll make it worse though if the water's too cold! in that case i have to give her a xopenex breathing treatment through her nebulizer. which reminds me, i need to get her a new mask and hose...

Well I have only had 2 in my life and the last on landed me in the emergency room for 4 hours......

Oh no, what's a bronchio spasm exactly? I have asthma and though I could go a year without using my inhaler at all, suddenly I'll get an attack and it'll put me back for over a week, ER visit and prednisone (spelling?) and nebulizer treatment -- the works. I hope you feel better soon!

I am feeling much better...and it is the type of asthma I have ......I do not wheeze until I am Really going South.....It has happened 3 times in my life....all after an upper respiratory infection.....any other time I have mild astma usually during allergy season.....so do not think this is going to happen to you.....I think the condition is reactive airway disease...but do not quote me on it......I am prednisone for 5 days....I will have to be careful the next couple of days...then I will be fine.....BUT I ACTUALLY MISS GOING TO THE GYM...thanks for the concern...Sean

Hope you're feeling better today---I live in MS where there is so much pollen right now--even those of us without asthma are having trouble breathing! i woke up coughing during the night last night because my airway was so dry...it was like i was choking on my own breathe! so not to keep you from here, but if going down south makes you wheeze--stay outta MS for right now! hehe. feel better soon! *hugs* mary
