I have had the flu/cold since last wends. ...I have found it difficult not to eat "the old way"......Has anyone found it difficult to eat well when you are sick? I have been craving carbs... ....ARRG It doesn't help that we need to go shopping but we are both sick.......

What you feel is normal... when you are sick you want comfort which comes from food... I know everytime I was sick my mom made me grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup (and I would watch the price is right!). Thankfully I have always been allowed carbs.... so I cant sympathize with you there. Maybe you could find an alternative to whatever you are craving (like chicken noodle soup but dont eat the noodles?).

I haven't had to deal with that yet, Sean, but I do hope you feel better soon. Rachelle

Sorry you are feeling bad. First big challenge in coping without food! I hope you find something that will give you comfort. Both of you get better soon!!!

Sean, Sorry you are not feeling well! Yea, when I'm sick I want comfort foods..fortunately didn't have to deal with that...haven't gotten sick since surgery, other than complications..which I won't go into. Will send you positive thoughts/energy/prayers for a speedy recovery and ability to resist carbs. Susan

Call in sick and go back to bed! The more you rest and sleep the better your immun system will work and the faster you'll be well! (we nurses take care of everyone but ourselves, don't me?)

Hang in there, Sean. Remember, this sickness is temporary, while your commitment to yourself goes on. Zandra Q
