....
Hello everyone!
I just wanted to come on here and vent a little bit.. I feel like my weight isn't coming off very well.. I am 7 weeks out and I have only lost 40 lbs! I just don't understand.. I know I am a "lightweight" does that have to do with anything?? Does anyone have any words of encouragement??? My partner Ann notices changes almost on a daily basis, but in another week I'll be 2 months out and I haven't lost much at all!!! AAARRRGGG!!!
Thanks for listening..
You are doing just fine. 40 lbs in less than 2 months is a very good rate of loss for a lightweight. I was not a lightweight at all, started at 317 lbs, only lost 50 lbs in the first 2 months, and then it slowed down!
But at 14 months out I was down 170 lbs and below goal. You just have to give it some time. You didn't put all that weight on in 2 months, after all. And when did you ever lose that much that fast before?
Don't worry. I'm 8 weeks out and I'm only down 38.5 lbs. I'm a lightweight also. I'm looking at it this way...I could have never lost it this quickly on my own. In the past, it has taken me 6 months to lose that much.
You'll be fine sweetly. All of my research shows me that we all end up in a good place down the road.

It just doesn't happen as fast as we think it should, does it?! I am 5 weeks out. Initially I lost all the extra water weight they pumped into me in the hospital and then 11 more pounds. Now I've regained 3 of those. I did, however lose 60 lbs pre-op, so I guess my bod is just resting. Plus, the inches are coming off. I feel like I am melting from the top down and all is pooling around my butt. LOL So I know it will show on the scales eventually.
When was the last time you lost 20 lbs in one month? You are doing fantastic!!! Just keep to your program and the weight has no choice but to come off. Have you measured yourself? I avoided a tape measure like the plague when I first started, but have been using one a little bit now.
Keep up the good work!
