Hi all now that we know what you watch...what do you like to read ? I have trouble getting through books.....I either get OVER INVOLVED or bored.......I love gay history, biographies, autobiographies......I am not much of a fiction reader....I am too concrete and like to read about "real stories"....Russ is VERY into sci-fi...We have Hundreds of sci-fi series books in our house.....I also LOVE...LOVE...LOVE....anytrhing to do with cars...which are my obsession to a FAULT.........THAT IS ME...HOW ABOUT YOU......I if you are interested in gay history..I can dig up some of the titles of books I have read...I cannot remeber the names of books ....or song title....LOL
When I completed grad school, I vowed not to read anything of educational or socially redeeming value for one year. Ok, so that was 1995. I LOVE crime/mysteries. James Patterson, Jonathan Kellerman, Tami Hoag, Mary Higgins Clark, JD Robb, Robin Cook, David Baldachi, the list is endless. I read a lot! I have books on my computer, I have books on my Ipod and I have regular paper books. I read for entertainment and escape. And as soon as I finish a book, I don't remember much about it. LOL
I love vampire stories.
I love smut.
I love mindless but well-written fiction. I have read every Sandra Brown. (Just the mysteries not of her romance novels.)
My wife is into science fiction. We have four floor to ceiling bookcases full.
I have a few friends who have written books and I love their books and anthologies.
Lately my attention span is nil, so I really have to be trapped and tied down somewhere to get my book on (girls head out of the gutter, puleeze!).
I LOVE Augusten Burroughs! He is so freakin' funny.
Actually, Sean he's gay AND from MA-- he wrote running with scissors, but the movie was horrible--so if you saw the movie, don't judge it - you should still read the book.
Dave Eggers, David Sedaris--all my kind of writers.
For some reason I'm drwan to the memoirs of drug addicts, fallen (and picked back up) hollywood stars, tell alls.
Cannot get into mysteries or sci-fi.
I love Science fiction and Fantasy--I have one whole room lined with bookcases and more books in boxes on the floor waiting for me to thin the existing volumes down and get them some shelf space.
Favorite authors: Robert Heinlein, David Weber, Harry Turtledove, Katherine Kerr, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Robert Jordan, and whoever it is writes the Miles Vorsorkian series I can't remember her name right now...
I read a lot and prefer it to TV or music.
