Eating on vacation...
Wasn't too bad; however, if I see another Caesar salad it will be too soon. We spent last week in Vegas and when we arrived had dinner at this awesome restaurant. I order brisket -- thinking it would just be a small order -- it was enough to eat off for the rest of the week -- I ate off it for 2 days. The hotel room was so cold that the food kept and it was even good cold with 3 types of barbecue sauce. All in all, I didn't have a hard time finding foods to eat; fruit or an omelet for breakfast. The salad I could always bring back to the room for a later. Come to think of it I didn't see a GNC any place -- but I guess all Vegas wants you to see are the casinos.
Well after the flight from hell on Delta airlines; we made it home safely. I'll post some pictures in the next day or so.
Glad you made it home safely.
As vegetarians, we found it difficult to eat in Vegas. We did drive away (far, far away) from the strip to find a Whole Foods. Not sure if I noticed a GNC at all. At least we were able to get some things that we could eat. Not sure how I would fare there as a post op.

You'd do fine. Every restaurant have 2-3 different types of salads or just purchase veggies a la carte. I was a little concerned myself; however, I didn't go crazy. The Buffet restaurant in the hotel had a huge salad/fruit/dessert bar -- they even had sugar free desserts and I had a slice of chocolate mousse and it tasted really good.
