Intro
Hello all!
I am so glad that Sean came around and posted the link here, or I never would have found you all!
I'm Zandra, just about a week post op from lap RNY. I've been recuperating at home, where I live alone with my fabulous dog. My family of birth stayed with me through the hospital time and my family of choice has been taking great care of me since I got home.
I left the house for the first time yesterday for a post op visit with the surgeon and a trip to the store. By the time I was done I was totally exhausted!
I've stopped my pain meds today, and I'm going out by myself for the first time this afternoon. Scary!
I'm happy to see that you all are here. I'll try to be a part of keeping this board going.

Welcome Zandra. Glad to see you posting. I applaud Sean and his efforts to get this board moving again.
I'm Rachelle and I'm 5.5 weeks out from Lap RNY. I'm feeling good, but not normal yet (no wisecracks about being normal, alright guys!). I still get very tired after a day of work, but I'm sure that will get better in the weeks to come.
I live with my partner of nearly 16 years and our neurotic dog in New Jersey. We are planning on having our Civil Union next March and I plan on looking hot!

Hi, I'm Lisa, also a nurse, and had my RNY on June 4th. I live with my husband and bemoan the lack of a gf on a daily basis LOL! We have a crazy basenji mix and a cooool cat. They are an endless source of joy. No kiddies.
I love how things are going for me now after surgery. I love each day, how I look, how I feel, how my days go. It's been the most amazing and wonderful thing I've ever done for myself.
Welcome, Zandra
