NSVs
OK, I used to be a regular Weigh****cher. We always talked about NSVs...Non Scale Victories. It's a great way to measure progress without the evil scale
My NSVs...
My snoring is getting better (big NSV for Chris)
My knees don't hurt as much and I can do stairs much better
I can sit more comfortably in the armed chair of my patio set
I've dropped nearly 2 sizes already (was in 22 and today I'm wearing 18W pants)
The rolls on my back are shrinking.
What about you? What NSVs have you had lately?
Rachelle
lols, i GUESS this is a nsv. not really sure what to consider this really but yesterday i had to work the bridal convention at the shoals marriott hotel & spa convention center (i work for the local newspaper and we were one of the sponsors.)
so since it's a bridal show i had to dress in "sunday best" and i wore this really pretty sundress type outfit (the top was a halter ~ tied around the neck) that i'd bought at cato's a while back and never worn. since it's the end of summer i figured i'd better at least wear it once ~ no WAY it'll fit me NEXT summer!
anywho, i walked in to my post and this girl that i work with who's ALWAYS talking sh*t about me looked up at me with huge eyes and her eyebrows raised and said "you look GOOD!", like it was a big shock to see me NOT looking like a troll :~(
THEN, towards the end of the show this guy came up to me and introduced himself as being "jesse" which is this b*tch's brother. he's seen me a million times at the paper (pre-op) and never once given me a second glance. then right before we got off work he came up to me with a rose that he'd stolen out of one of the flower arrangements, lols!! it was too cute and i just couldn't bring myself to tell him that i'm gay and in a relationship. i figured i'd just be gracious and accept the flower (i HATE flowers!!!!) and if he tried anything else later on i'd just set him straight.

NSV for me today...
I got into a pair of jeans that I am been unable to SQUEEZE into since May...AND IT WAS A SQUEEZE at that time...they fit today with some room to spare....I am down 2 notches on my belt........
Since you posted yours to both here and NY, I'll post my reply in both places too. I'll take all the kudos I can get.
I flew in an airplane and was able to buckle the seatbelt without an extension.
I was able to pull the driver's seat in my car forward so I'm not stretching to reach the wheel anymore.
I bought a pair of jeans at Target for $15.
I'm wearing those jeans right now, and they are a size **46**!! (When I had surgery, I was wearing 60's; at my largest, I had to have custom-made 63's.)
I have NO hip or lower back pain. I still have occasional knee pain, especially when its humid.
