Protein Shakes
Grocery stores, Walmart and Target do sale protein powder but IMO, they don't taste as good as the ones you order from bariatric online stores. I order all mine with bariatriceating.com or vitaminshoppe. Before surgery I was buying the chocolate brand from walmart and it wasn't bad but after surgery I couldn't stand the taste.
Everyone's taste buds are different so start out buying small containers or order samples from different sites online. Oh, I also heard that if you buy protein from GNC and you don't like it, you can bring it back!! I haven't tried it because I stick to my favorite 3 but it's worth a try!

OH MY GOODNESS - YES - I completely DOUBLE what Rachelle is saying! I buy EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control - these are the best nutritionally for us WLS patients. Extremely low in carbohydrate, no processed sugars, very low faty, and a nice payload of 17 g of protein in a nice little compact 110 calories. The chocolate fudge is great!
Guys - TRY THIS - brew a nice hot fresh cup of your favorite coffee (decaf is best for us healthwise), and add 1/2 cup of the EAS Chocolate Fudge, and a couple of sugar free sweeteners to taste - and mix well and sip. Makes a DELICIOUS, protein-packed mocha coffee that is to die for, and is such a GREAT replacement for those stupid calorie and sugar-packed creamers on the market!
Love you guys,
Mike
