2 weeks to go
Well kids, I started my liquid diet today. I now have the next two weeks to enjoy nothing but Slimfast Optima, Protein Shakes and a little bit of veggies. I can mix and match drinks, as long as I come in at around 1,000 calories per day. Since the Slimfast has quite a bit of sugar, I got a protein powder from Costco that has only 1 gram of sugar per serving.
Also, I had my Preadmission Testing Today. If everything goes as expected, I'll be on the losers bench in two weeks. I can't wait. I am sooooooo ready for this.
We are doing everything we can to prepare for this. It's going to happen and I'm going to be a success. How's that!

Hey, I've got a great idea for getting in protein post-surgery in those early days (and beyond). This has become a favorite of mine and a good way to supplement the protein while feeling like I'm getting a treat.
Take a package of sugar-free, fat-free pudding
Add to 2 c. cold non-fat milk
Add 1 or 2 scoops of protein powder
Mix for 2 minutes
Pour into popsicle molds and freeze
With the non-fat milk and the added protein powder you can get up to 10g protein in each puddin pop!
Two of my favorites are:
Add chocolate protein powder to butterscotch flavored pudding
Add vanilla protein powder to lemon pudding (lemon cream - yum)
Wish I'd thought of this in those very early days so thought I'd pass it on before your big day.
