Newbie, here!

Hi everyone. I'm Jessica. Currently I live in Edmonds, WA---but today, I'm actually vacationing in Milwaukee, WI to see my brother get married tomorrow. Anyhoo---I'm scheduled for gastric bypass on July 16th in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico with Dr. Joya. I'm weighing in at about 315#. I'll start my liquid diet on the second (thank goodness it's AFTER the wedding--that's gonna some good eatin'!). I was married to the most wonderful woman on this Earth. On Valentine's Day this year, I found her breathless and pulseless in our bed. It was completely unexpected and she had no symptoms--just gone from me forever. My world shattered. She was healthy, thin, wonderful, strong, kind, beautiful and adored me. It's been almost 5 months, and it's time for me to get this surgery overwith. She supported my having surgery--though she wasn't crazy about Mexico--Sweden was more her cup of tea! Now that I'm beginning to get my head together, I'm going ahead and having my surgery. My best friend, who is a nurse practitioner is coming with me--she'll be the best advocate! Glad to be here. I hope you are all well. Jessica
