moving along...Sleep apnea and CPAP ?

I had my sleep study and have a surgery date...Aug. 29th. I "failed" my sleep study so i am going to start CPAP.....Has CPAP helped anyone with there Apnea.....I have heared mixed reviews........Sorry I fell off with my postings...Ended up on forced overtime at work...it wiped me out.......... Sean

Hey Sean. Nice to see ya! Hopefully if everything goes smoothly, I'll also have my surgery in August...the 6th to be exact. Sorry, can't help with the CPAP, but I'm sure someone can. Best of luck...keep us posted. Rachelle

CPAP has helped every single patient I've given it to, if they've been able to tolerate it. Personally, I have never been able to fall asleep with the mask on, so I've never been able to use it. However, my patients and friends who were able to adjust have universally benefited.

Sean- The CPAP is the best thing ever. I actually felt soo good after I got mine. It takes a bit to get used to but you will be happy. Hopefully after you have surgery and the pounds come off you won't need it anymore. Good Luck! Patti
