Six months post-op today
Not such a big deal I guess, but thought I would "share the moment" (so to speak). Not much happened on the scale last week but I'm used to the weeks where not a lot happens then all of a sudden there's a drop so no worries there.
But here is what has happened:
At my first consult (May 30, 2006):
* I was 443 lbs.
* Wearing size 64 pants and 4X shirts
* Took me 20+ minutes to walk 4 blocks to work because of the pain in my legs, knees, ankles and just too tired
Today:
* 298 lbs.
* Wearing size 44 pants and XL shirts
* I walk a mile in 20 minutes and regularly walk 2-3 miles without stopping at all
* I swim at least a mile 3-4 days per week
* And, as of last week..... :drumroll:.... NO MORE BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS!!
* Finally... I'm just a much happier man!! (and I do like getting cruised more often too! )

CONGRADULATIONS !!! All progress is GREAT progress. It is not all about weight loss, it is more about increased well being. Keep up the great work. Sean
Hey hon. I have been around, floating in the ether I guess, lol. Things have just been crazy and I find I hardly have time to sit at the computer the last few weeks. They laid off a ton of people in my office and that meant the rest of us got to pick up the slack and its just been a mess.
I also started my ins co 6 month program last week and whilevery exciting it has brough up all kinds of things that I am trying to process and deal with so that I can be as healthy both physically and mentally when the time for my surgery finally gets here!
How have you been?
