You know when you work in a high rise building from time to time there is a false fire alarm. Well, we had one this past Friday and I had to walk down 11 flights of stairs . I hate stairs. So I took to walking and the victory is this -- I didn't run out of breath, my knees didn't hurt -- I MADE IT That was an unexpected test. It felt kinda weird yet victorious test for me. My legs felt kind of wobbly but no PAIN. What a difference 30 lbs make. Last night I remembered a pair of slacks I'd purchased at hechts a couple of years ago -- a size 24 -- they were on sale --I could get in them but they were too tight so I never wore them. Tired them on this evening and they fit I've dropped two pant sizes. -- All Praises belong to God! I'm ready to throw a My boo tells me I'm bringing back! yeah right!

Down never bothers me - I can trot down 10 flights of stairs without a hitch. *UP*, on the other hand... one flight has me panting and wheezing.

You GO there NaDine!! I always hated those fire drills - from the 8th floor down... it killed my knees. Haven't had any since surgery but there is no doubt it will be easier now. Keep up the good work! Steve
