HELLO MY PEOPLES! So glad to be in contact with you all again. Because I couldn't locate the GLBT group Steve found me. Must have been Spirit because I knew there was an LGBT forum prior to them changing the look of the website. I'm 2 weeks and 1 day post-op and am experiencings an excellent recovery. My surgeon had to remove some scar tissue from a previously botched laproscopic surgical attempt about 5 years ago. He and I both deduced the surgeon either didn't know what he was doing or didn't have the correct tools --it was surgey for removal of cysts from my ovaries and the dude ended up cutting me open and then tells my partner I was too fat for laproscopic surgery. My weight loss surgeon said no I wasn't -- the ovarian surgeon didn't know what he was doing and I concur. Removal of the scar tissue is not hendering my healing -- although stomach is still swollend but the pain is as if I've been doing too many situps. It's snowing here in Baltimore Maryland so I want be walking anywhere. I live exactly 2 miles from my job and its an easy walk and once spring comes and the weather is good I might very well start making the walk. We have a fitness center with showers so I can just take my work clothes; shower and change when I get there. Steve I see you live in San Francisco so you're probably familiar with an area called Foster City -- well I work for the big VISA here in Maryland. So again -- thanks to Spirit for allowing Steve to find me and send the link. I'll be a frequent poster. Have a warm day.

I've been recruiting Carla - I go searching on this site for people who have indicated LGBT in their interests every once in a while and if they don't look familiar I send them a message telling them about the board. The board is so "hidden in the closet" on this site! At any rate, Rachelle says I win the toaster oven AND a microwave for my recruiting efforts (remember the Ellen DeGeneres sitcom pilot?). Steve

I want. Any thoughts on patienting the OH member services to bring the LGBT board out of the closet? I'm looking at the Christianity board -- which I ought to go on and ask if there are any Christian LGBT people on there -- see being bad -- the rebel in me. I see the Black American; Bodybuilding and Weightlifting; and bicycling boards -- just to name a few and they are all isted in the left side column. Oh I see another in very small print "lifestyle and sexuality" (print smaller than this). Let's go see if that will bring me back to here.

Hey Laurie -- welcome to the group and congratulations on your surgery . How have you been feeling? This is quite a notion isn't it. I have a ham and cheese today. Lean ham with a slice of pepperjack cheese in the microwave long enough for the cheese to start melting. I refuse to do the puree thing -- well accept for the chicken -- I use a potato masher. Keep in touch.
