Mmmm....
Today, I got to reintroduce dairy to my diet. This makes me happy. Not only is milk more filling than Crystal Light, I got to make sugar-free pudding! This makes my tongue very happy - pudding is much tastier than Jell-O.
On a concerning note, I find I can easily drink 8 ounces of liquid in 10-15 minutes if I'm not paying attention, even though I'm only SUPPOSED to drink 4 ounces an hour - and I easily ate a half-cup serving of pudding without discomfort. Is it slipping through my pouch easily because it's so soft, or did he make my pouch too big? Clearly, I still need to impose a certain amount of self-discipline, though it's SO difficult.

Just be careful. You don't have any nerve endings to tell you if you're over stuffing. This early out just stick with what our surgeon/dietician says as far as volume goes. I was getting in about 3 bites of anything, including pudding when I was out as far as you.
Isn't dairy great? I was lactose intolerant for about the first 8 days, but now tolerate it without problem. I took lactaid like crazy that first two weeks. Skim milk is an excellent source of protien as well! I never did well with the shakes, etc. I get at least 18 grams of protein per day just from skim milk (it's excellent as a source...has a gram per ounce). I supplement with a 42 gram/4 oz liquid protein from IDS. It can be found on the vitaminshoppe.com if you're interested.
Hang in there! It sounds like you are doing great.

Gotta love that SF/FF pudding! Was one of my favorites early on also. It's probably flowing through pretty quickly because of the liquidity but, as Ken points out, you do want to be careful not to overdo it - just follow your doc's instructions and you'll do fine. Sounds like each day things are getting better Randy - just the way it should be.
