4 Months out today - 125 lbs. are gone

Today is my 4 month surgiversary! Not only that, but I got on the scale this morning and weighed exactly 125 lbs. less than I did at my first surgical consult on May 30th! I started at 443, today I weighed 318 and I can see the 200s right around the corner! What a great feeling.

My ankle, knee and hip joints are all feeling better, I've been able to cut my blood pressure medicine in half and a 3.5 mile walk is just a pleasant jaunt now (9 months ago 4 blocks was a challenge!). Although there have been times that haven't been so great, I don't regret one single minute of this journey and look forward to what I know is still ahead! Thanks to all of you for being here through the process too! Steve

OMG!!! You are making such wonderful progress.

What a blessing. I love to hear how much better you are feeling and cutting the bp meds in half is huge. I can't wait until I can say that

Thanks Rachelle - I'm feelin pretty darned good. Just have to start kickin up the exercise a little now - I have a deadline of 2/10 to join the gym and start getting my butt there! How are you doin?

I'm doing pretty good. I understand about the exercise part. Exercise has always been hard for me. Right now, I just try to walk when I can. It does help everything from weight to bp to depression. The more I can move, the better I feel. But it's hard to get my fat ass moving, kwim? Rachelle

I'm hoping to schedule my surgery for the last week of Feb or the first week of March... and I'm going to Orlando for GayDays on May 31. 12 weeks post-op... I can't imagine being 60 lbs (or more) slimmer when I go!

I can't wait for my surgery.
