I'm officially regreting my surgery!:'(
Girl I am right htere with you. I haven't lost anything in a month! 225 and holding. But you cant' give up. Time to get back to the basics. Make sure we are getting enough protien, few enough carbs, enough sleep, water, and exercise. I have kicked up the exercise for now, then if nothing happens in two weeks I am going to take a close look at my intake. But we all hit these little stalls, it is no big deal, your body is adapting!
Stay strong!
Hey girl
I have stalled for a bit - lots of reasons - and also because I think my body needs to rest before it can lose again.
And I have to get my rear into gear too.
But the really really important thing to remember is that it is worth it, without this surgery we'd most likely be dead (and my beloved would not like that one little bit), and that we can always tackle tomorrow as a new day.
Hang in there.
love

Since I had my surgery, I will lose weight for about two weeks, then stop for two weeks, lose for two weeks, stop for two weeks. At first I was frustrated, but then I realized that the weeks I didn't lose weight, was the weeks I could fit into a new size of clothes. I think my body, although not losing in pounds, was losing in inches. Once I realized that, I didn't freak out about the pounds as much. Don't sweat it. I will continue to come off. You just have to give your body a period to adjust itself.
Hi Madeline
No need for regrets, your body is just taking a little break is all. Are you noticing any reshaping going on? When the numbers took a break for me, the reshaping was going on. Kind of strange, but very true.
Try increasing the amount of water that you are drinking. Sometimes that will increase your metabolism to kick start the weight loss again. I also found (on the advice of my nutritionist) that increasing the amount of protein that I was eating also helped a bit. If your body thinks that it is starving, even when it isn't, it will hold on to the weight to protect itself. So there you have my 2 cents worth. Hopefully it will help.
Remember that part of what is happening to you during this process is mental. Don't let the numbers floating around in your head hold you back. Just exercise and eat the right things and it will come off! Keep your chin up my friend, it's a long journey!
Best,
Amy
I have been struggling up and down five pounds for three months. I finally called the center, and found out I have been eating all wrong. I have been eating high protien very low carb and taking three protien shakes a day. They have told me to stop the shakes, and eat three meals per day. I am really freaked out by this, as I get so much other info on post op eating... protien focus, and low carb eating. I guess they know best, so I will give it a try and see where it takes me.
No matter what, I will never regret this surgery. I am down 95 pounds in seven months and I feel great!!!
