QOTD 10/31 - HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
Okay... think back over the years... what was your most memorable halloween costume?
For me it was the late 70s or very early 80s. For a party featuring Divine at a small, boutique hotel here in San Francisco. It was among my "leaner" days and I had a trashy, short, pink waitress uniform, (from Goodwill of course); a Streisand (ala Funny Girl) wig; gaudy pink/blue shades of make-up; black pantyhose and some fabulous shoes. It was also one of only 2 times I've been rid of my beard since 1972.
Your turn!

OMG Steve! Are you a Divine fan!! I love Divine! She made John Water's career if you ask me.
Anyway, one year, back in the 80's, this fat chick went to the NYC Halloween Parade decked out as Edith Massey. Only in a city like NYC would someone actually know who I was supposed to be. I had drinks bought for me all night by all the queens that thought my costume was fierce (and it was).

I'll have to look through my stuff. I know I have to have an old picture of it somewhere! You will get a kick out of it, I'm sure.
We met Divine when she was doing a local club appearance here in Jersey. A friend of mine had a shirt made that said "Dawn Davenport Lives!". It was such a big hit that Divine pulled her up on stage with her. I'll have to find those pictures too. Those were some good times.

Hello all!
I am new to this board. I am glad to see I am not the only gay guy on the site. Hmmm, my favourite cosutme. I would have to say my favorite costume was my McDonalds Uniform. It was very comfortable. It was all authentic as I used to work for them many moons ago. It was from the seventies. It was polyester from head to toe. It was this bronze like color brown flared pants, a tunic shirt very remeniscent of a shirt from Space 1999, at least on the bottom hem. The sleeves were short, white, with a pattern of golden arches on them, a nice wide lapel coller and open neck. Then I had a visor to match. I stole a broken headset and wore it with the uniform. The only downer was the boys in the bar kept asking me questions about the establishment. I think they must have thought I worked at the bar because of the headset.

I LOVE Halloween! This year I was Mr. Garrison from South Park, complete with my Mr. Hat puppet and Mr. Slave in tow, lol...
But the most memorable was the first year my friend Angie convinced me to really go all out for Halloween. I wasn't into it before that. She dressed up like Drew Carey and I dressed up like Mimi! It was a blast! We won a costume contest and cute men kept buying us drinks, lol...
